Wolverines hold off Florida, advance to Sweet 16

Facing off against Florida in the Round of 32 on Saturday, Michigan let a nine-point first half advantage slip away, but took command quickly after the break to claim a stranglehold on the game. The Wolverines scored the first 11 points of the second half, never leading by fewer than six points after that point, and cruising to a 64-49 victory.

Jordan Poole led the way for the Maize and Blue, scoring 19 points, including six in that critical run to start the second half.

Isaiah Livers scored 10 points, while Zavier Simpson finished just off of a triple-double with nine each of points, assists and rebounds.

Improving to 30-6 on the season, Michigan reached the 30-win mark for just fifth time in program history.

With the victory, the Wolverines advance to the Sweet 16 for the third straight year and the fifth time in the last seven seasons. Michigan will face off against 3-seed Texas Tech from Anaheim on Thursday at approximately 9:40 p.m. eastern on CBS.
