Michigan announced in a brief statement on Wednesday that sophomore running back O'Maury Samuels is no longer part of the program, having been dismissed from the team for undisclosed reasons.

A native of Los Lunas, N.M., Samuels competed for the third string position at running back coming into the season, losing the backup role to Tru Wilson. Samuels finished the season with 13 carries for 66 yards.

The Wolverines will lose starting running back Karan Higdon to graduation after the bowl game, leaving Chris Evans as the likely starter, with Wilson, current true freshman Christian Turner, and incoming freshmen yet to be signed as the primary competitors for carries.
