Wolverines land commit from Tennessee running back

Following the Wolverines rapid-fire string of commitments a week ago, things cooled down for a few days, but not completely. On Sunday night, Michigan added a pledge from Memphis (Tenn.) Lausanne Collegiate School running back Eric Gray, bringing the 2019 recruiting class up to 17 commitments.

The 5-10, 190 pound back is rated as a four-star prospect on 247 Sports and ESPN, landing in the top-300 overall players according to each source. While Gray is rated as a three-star prospect on Rivals, he carried an impressive list of scholarship offers outside of Michigan, including opportunities at Alabama, LSU, Miami, Texas A&M, Stanford and others.

He announced his decision in a video post on Twitter, stating “everyone has been telling me to follow my heart, and that’s why I choose Michigan.”
