Michigan snags Ohio offensive lineman

The Wolverines were already off to a strong start in recruiting offensive linemen for the 2019 class, and they got more help for the future on Wednesday evening, adding a commitment from Zach Carpenter of Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller.

Rated as a three-star prospect by the major recruiting services, the 6-5, 315-pound Carpenter selected Michigan over scholarship offers from Clemson, Michigan State, Oregon, Arkansas, Louisville, Nebraska and many others, revealing his choice on Twitter.

Carpenter is the Wolverines’ fifth verbal commitment for the offensive line, joining Karsen Barnhart, Trente Jones, Jack Stewart and Nolan Rumler.
