Ranking the Big Ten cornerbacks

While the Big Ten loses a number of top cornerbacks from a year ago, it may actually be one of the deepest returning spots in the conference. Michigan hopes that sophomore Blake Countess will continue to develop and live up to the great potential that he showed last season.

Hurst commits to Michigan

Earning a scholarship offer from Michigan during the May evaluation period, Westwood (Mass.) Xaverian Brothers defensive tackle Maurice Hurst Jr. showed a strong immediate interest in the Maize and Blue. Visiting Michigan on Saturday, he announced in favor of the Wolverines.

Qualls planning Michigan visit

While Michigan has already filled many of its needs for the 2013 recruiting class, one area that still provides a significant hole is at the defensive tackle position. The Wolverines are in the running for several quality prospects, including outstanding athlete Elijah Qualls of Petaluma (Calif.) Casa Grande. The 6-2, 280 pounder has begun to narrow his focus and has a good idea where he will visit during his senior year.
