Green weighing his options

The running back position is sure to remain a top priority going forward for Michigan’s 2013 recruiting efforts and arguably the top prospect on the board right now is Richmond (Va.) Hermitage star Derrick Green. The 6-0, 215 pounder has been busy this spring, taking in as many unofficial visits as he can fit.

Ranking the Big Ten running backs

While the quarterback position within the conference can be well defined by major losses, the opposite is true at running back, where nearly all of the conference’s top players return. While Monte Ball is the obvious No. 1, the competition for the remaining spots is much tighter.

Why the time to panic is never

Michigan placed a lot of eggs in the Ty Isaac basket, a fact which has made many fans of the Maize and Blue uneasy following his announcement to Southern Cal. But as everyone takes a deep breath and settles in, it is important to keep things in perspective when it comes to the recruiting process.

With the departures of Russell Wilson at Wisconsin and Kirk Cousins at Michigan State, the Big Ten sees a void at the top of the quarterback position within the conference. With that said, there are nine signal callers returning this fall with at least some starting experience. See how they stack up.

Hoops adds another 2012 commit

Michigan's already impressive 2012 basketball recruiting class has added a fifth member, with Pickerington (Ohio) Central shooting guard Caris LeVert announcing his pledge to the Maize and Blue. The 6-4, 175 pounder announced the news on his Twitter feed, stating "Just officially committed to the University of Michigan!"
