While Michigan won 11 games last season, most fans of the Maize and Blue look back on the team and recognize that it was still a work in progress. In many respects, that team was probably not as good as previous squads that won as many or even fewer games. Taking a look ahead to 2012, we identify our five keys toward moving the Wolverines forward to the next level they are seeking.

Richardson excited for challenge ahead

Last week, the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp in Southfield played host to hundreds of high school prospects as well as college coaches from around the Midwest. Several Michigan commitments were in attendance, but they weren’t the only future Wolverines on hand, with incoming freshman cornerback Terry Richardson watching the event as well.

Ross ready to move forward

Among the observers in attendance at the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp in Southfield last week, incoming Michigan freshman linebacker James Ross wanted to give back. The 6-1, 230 pounder remembers well his time as a high school recruit and felt he had something to contribute by being there.

Stribling makes it official

 

As Maize & Blue News reported last night, Matthews (N.C.) Butler defensive back Channing Stribling expected to commit to Michigan today. The 6-2, 170 pounder, who earned a scholarship with his play at the camp, went through with that plan, officially declaring in favor of the Wolverines.
