Late surge pushes U-M past Binghamton

Wrapping up their last game of the non-conference, the Wolverines showed some signs of rust from the spaced out December schedule on Sunday, struggling to put away Binghamton. Michigan led for all but two minutes against the 4-9 Bearcats, but carried only a three point advantage with 11 minutes left in the second half. That’s when U-M made its move.

U-M falters in second half, falls to Florida in Peach Bowl

Strong play in the second half was a hallmark of the Wolverines during the fall, adjusting and outscoring each of their first 11 opponents after the break. For the second game in a row though, it was Michigan that got pushed around as the game progressed, falling to Florida 41-15 in the Peach Bowl.

Wolverines land 2020 quarterback commitment

With the 2019 recruiting class now mostly signed for Michigan, the Wolverines on Friday added an important piece for next year’s group. Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle quarterback J.D. Johnson announced on Twitter his decision to commit to the Maize and Blue.

Michigan pushes past Air Force to stay perfect

The Wolverines’ slow-paced December schedule of weekend only game continued on Saturday, and the rust of time off showed. At least initially. Finding almost only three-point opportunities early against Air Force, Michigan made just one of its first nine shots. As has been the case all season though, U-M was able to rely on its defense.

Karan Higdon opts out of Peach Bowl

Karan Higdon has played his final game as a Wolverine. The senior running back announced on social media Thursday that he would not play in the Peach Bowl against Florida on Dec. 29, instead focusing his attention on preparing for the NFL Draft.
