Wolverines lose Weber commitment

Detroit Cass Tech running back Mike Weber had been wavering on his pledge to Michigan for some time and on Saturday, he announced that he was no longer committed to the Wolverines. Just as U-M gave up the go-ahead touchdown to Maryland in the fourth quarter of the game in Michigan Stadium, the four-star running back took to Twitter to announce the news.

Kirkland decommits from Michigan

With the Wolverines in the midst of a disappointing season and the future of head coach Brady Hoke in doubt, several members of Michigan’s 2015 recruiting class have expressed concerns about their choice. Among them was Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence Central linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr., who unofficially visited Ole Miss last week, then declared on Thursday that he was no longer part of the class.

Coach offers insight on Harding commit

Continuing to build for the future, Michigan picked up a pledge on Friday from 2016 linebacker Dele Harding of Elkton (Md.) Eastern Christian Academy. The 6-2, 225 pounder camped at Michigan last year, and earned an offer from the Maize and Blue with his performance at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp this summer. According to his coach, the Wolverines got a good one.

Michigan offer has Kelly’s attention

Among the top prospects in the state of Michigan for the 2015 recruiting class, Oak Park athlete John Kelly had been on the Wolverines’ radar for some time, but his primary focus had been on programs that extended scholarship offers. When he went to school on Monday, he received big news with the Maize and Blue jumping into that mix, quickly garnering his attention in the process.
