Among the standouts of the first full day of action at Michigan summer camp last month, Fort Wayne (Ind.) Wayne 2016 defensive end Auston Robertson made the return trip to Ann Arbor over the weekend for the annual BBQ at the Big House event. It was an experience that the 6-5, 230 pounder won’t soon forget.

Fort Wayne (Ind.) Bishop Luers 2016 wide receiver Austin Mack headed north for the weekend, attending the Wolverines’ annual BBQ at the Big House event. The 6-2, 185 pound athlete already carries a scholarship offer from Michigan, and the trip only helped to deepen his interest.

Very early look at 2016 recruiting scholarship numbers

It might never be too early to get in on a good recruit, but making a proper evaluation of scholarship availability more than a year and a half down the road can be a difficult task. The reality is that Michigan already has two commitments for 2016, and around 50 scholarship offers have been handed out to players in that class, but the actual number of open slots is a mystery.
