Wolverines land jersey wide receiver

Michigan picked up 14 commitments in the month of June, and while that pace slowed a bit in the final few days, the pledges keep on coming. The Wolverines struck pay dirt in the Garden State last week, pulling in a commitment from Camden N.J. defensive end Ron Johnson. On Friday afternoon, he was joined by his wide receiver teammate Brad Hawkins Jr., who likewise announced for the Maize and Blue.

Wolverines pick up highly rated defensive end

Just a day after Michigan missed out on a top defensive end prospect from in-state, the Wolverines quickly recovered to snag as highly rated of a player from afar. Camden, N.J. star defensive end Ron Johnson was in town on an unofficial visit with a large group from the east coast, and ultimately announced in favor of the Maize and Blue.

Coach offers insight on new commit St-Juste

The Wolverines picked up a surprise commitment on Tuesday, with Montreal (Que.) Vieux defensive back Benjamin St-Juste offering up his pledge to the Maize and Blue after earning a scholarship at the Exposure-U camp last week. Vieux head coach Cherif Nicolas has only had one year with St-Juste, but from what he’s seen in that time, he believes his star athlete will be a strong addition to the Michigan program.
