Wolverines survive scare at Northwestern

If the Wolverines needed a reminder that winning on the road in the Big Ten was tough, they got it Tuesday evening at Northwestern. Returning to the site of their only loss in the month of February and March last season, Michigan once again faced a tough challenge, coming out with a 62-60 victory.

Wolverines open Big Ten play with win over Purdue

Michigan’s early season string of tough challenges continues to be met with impressive responses. Coming off a big win over North Carolina, the Wolverines were thrust into Big Ten play on Saturday, playing host to No. 19 Purdue. Never trailing in the game, the Maize and Blue jumped out to a commanding lead in the first half, cruising to a 76-57 victory.

Wolverines crush North Carolina

The Wolverines went into Wednesday evening’s big showdown with No. 11 North Carolina without having been stuck in a close game late. They left it the same way. Struggling in the first few minutes with the Tar Heels’ high powered offense, Michigan found its footing defensively, putting on a big first half run and pulling away with an 84-67 victory.
