|Michigan offers Crete-Monee junior|

The Michigan coaching staff has spent a fair amount of time at Crete (Ill.) Monee high school over the last year pursuing senior Laquon Treadwell. While the standout wide receiver’s ongoing recruitment continues to make headlines, the IHSA Class 6A State Champions have more than one future college prospect on the roster.
Among the junior class, linebacker Nyles Morgan has already built up a strong following from college recruiters. The 6-2, 220 pounder has pulled in offers from the likes of Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, UCLA, Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue and others. On Thursday, the Maize and Blue jumped into that mix.
“Michigan just offered today!,” reported the standout 2014 prospect via Twitter.
Morgan has expressed a desire in past interviews to take his time and make visits before reaching a decision.
Michigan already has two verbal commitments for the 2014 recruiting class in linebacker Michael Ferns of Saint Clairsville, Ohio and offensive lineman Denzel Ward of Chicago (Ill.) Hales Franciscan.
We had the chance to see Morgan in action this summer at the Midwest Elite 7-on-7 Football Passing Camp at Avondale High School in Auburn Hills, Mich. While his combination of size and athleticism were apparent at the time, what stands out most about the junior prospect on film is his excellent ability to close on plays and deliver big hits.
