Wolverines rank in top-10 of first coaches poll
Written by Matt Pargoff

The Wolverines will be a young team this fall, forced to replace starters on the offensive and defensive lines, at wide receiver and tight end, in the secondary and at linebacker. Coming off an off-season that saw a school record 11 players taken in the NFL Draft, faith remains high in Jim Harbaugh's ability to assemble a competitive group. In fact, it's so high that Michigan will start the season ranked in the top-10.

The USA Today.Amway Coaches Poll was released on Thursday with the Maize and Blue settling in at the No. 9 spot.

The Big Ten is well represented with Ohio State coming in at No. 2, Penn State at No. 6 and Wisconsin at No. 10. The Wolverines are scheduled to face each of those teams this fall, and will also take on the No. 16 team in the season opener when they play Florida.
