Wolverines grab commitment from Florida DB

The Wolverines struck again on Wednesday afternoon, landing their fifth verbal commitment in just nine days. Reaching into the Sunshine State, Michigan grabbed a pledge from Naples, Fla. defensive back Sammy Faustin, who announced his decision on Twitter.

Measuring in at 6-2, 180 pounds, Faustin was recruited by some schools as a cornerback, but will focus on the safety position at Michigan. Flying somewhat under the radar, he is rated as a three-star prospect by the major recruiting networks, but carried an offer from the Wolverines since February.

Faustin selected the Maize and Blue over scholarship opportunities from Maryland, Iowa State, Arizona, Virginia, N.C. State, Kentucky and others, becoming the 13th verbal commitment to Michigan’s 2018 class.
