Attending the BBQ at the Big House on Saturday, Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Nolan Rumler decided to bring an early end to his recruitment, announcing his pledge to play for Michigan.

“I would like to thank every college for taking the time to recruit me,” Rumler stated on Twitter. “This process is truly a blessing and I am thankful to have been able to go through it. Secondly, I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for making me the man I am today and helping me make this decision. I would like to announce that I am committing to The University of Michigan.”

Standing in at 6-4, 290 pounds, Rumler is a highly regarded member of the 2019 class, carrying a four-star ranking from 247 Sports and Scout. He selected the Maize and Blue over scholarship offers from Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Iowa and many others.

Rumler is the Wolverines’ second verbal commitment for 2019, joining linebacker Charles Thomas of Bradenton, Fla.
