The Wolverines have their quarterback for the 2018 recruiting class. Orlando (Fla.) Olympia star signal caller Joe Milton announced his plans on Sunday afternoon, revealing that he’ll wear the Maize and Blue at the next level.

Standing in at 6-5, 210 pounds, Milton possesses a combination of pocket mobility and arm strength that had college coaches from the around the nation showing interest, with programs such as Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Louisville, Mississippi and others offering scholarships.

Milton is rated as the No. 6 dual-threat quarterback and No. 113 overall player in the nation by Rivals, the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback and No. 124 by ESPN, earning a four-star rating from both services, as well as 247 Sports, while coming in as a three-star on Scout.

Originally a native of Pahokee, Fla., Milton will follow in the footsteps of former Wolverines such as Vincent Smith, Brandin Hawthorne, Richard Ash and Martavious Odoms in heading to Ann Arbor.

Milton visited Michigan for the Wolverines’ Spring Game in April, taking in unofficial visits to several southern programs during the spring as well. He is the eighth player to announce his pledge to U-M’s 2018 recruiting class.
