Jake Butt tore his ACL in his final game at Michigan, hurting his draft stock significantly, but he ultimately went with the first pick of the fifth round, No. 145 overall, landing with the Denver Broncos.

A team captain for the Wolverines as a senior, Butt won the John Mackey Award, finishing his career with 138 receptions for 1,646 yards and 11 touchdowns.

His selection tied the Michigan record of 10 picks in the NFL Draft, matching the mark set in 1974 in 16 rounds and 1972 in 17 rounds.
