Myles Sims announces commitment to Michigan
Written by Matt Pargoff

Michigan is expected to sign a relatively small class in 2018 compared to most years, and one of those limited spots went to a top cornerback on Friday with Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake star Myles Sims announcing his pledge to the Maize and Blue.

The rangy 6-3, 173 pound athlete had scholarship offers from around the nation, turning down opportunities at places like Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Oregon, Ohio State, Notre Dame and many others. Rated as a four-star prospect by the major recruiting services, Myles has been tabbed as the No. 51 overall prospect by Rivals, No. 80 overall on Scout, No. 211 on ESPN and No. 389 on 247 Sports.

He is the fourth player committed to Michigan’s 2018 class, joining defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, offensive lineman Emil Ekiyor, and linebacker Otis Reese.
