The offensive line was a major priority for Michigan’s recruiting efforts in 2017 and the Wolverines continue to pull in strong prospect, snagging big tackle Chuck Filiaga out of Aledo, Texas on Saturday afternoon.

Participating in the Army All-American Bowl, the 6-6, 235 pound Filiaga announced his plans during the NBC broadcast, stating “I can’t wait to get on campus.”

Regarded as a four-star prospect, his ranking among the recruiting services is surprisingly consistent, landing between 100-140 as an overall prospect on Rivals, Scout, ESPN and 247 Sports, ranging from the No. 13-16 offensive tackle according to those sources.

Filiaga is the Wolverines’ sixth commitment for the offensive front, joined by Cesar Ruiz, Kai-Leon Herbert, Joel Honigford, Andrew Stueber and Ja’Raymond Hall. Michigan is up to 27 pledges for the 2017 recruiting class.
