Following the Wolverines’ blowout win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday, Michigan head coach John Beilein hit the road, travelling to see Detroit East English Village point guard David DeJulius in action. The junior prospect’s 46-point effort, which included a 9-of-11 effort on three pointers, was enough to earn a scholarship offer from the Maize and Blue, and after a few days thought, he was ready to make his pledge.

“I always wanted to go to Michigan,” DeJulius said in a video posted by Endless Motor Sports. “This past week I thought on it. It’s great for me. It’s a great education, great environment, great basketball program. I just feel like that’s the place for me.”

Michigan’s first commitment for the class of 2018, the 6-1, 190 pound DeJulius is rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN and a three-star player by Rivals and 247 Sports.
