At Big Ten Media Days in Chicago, Jim Harbaugh described Michigan’s quarterback situation as a three-horse race, stating that he hoped and expected to find a starter in the first 8-15 practices of fall camp. While he had not yet reached a final conclusion on that decision Friday, he noted that two from the group had stepped ahead.

Perry fully reinstated with football program

Jim Harbaugh revealed in June that wide receiver Grant Perry had resumed activities with the team after serving a suspension, stating that he could still face added repercussions both within the program and legal system. On Friday evening, Perry was fully reinstated in a statement from Athletic Director Warde Manuel.
