Jake Butt outspoken in support of paying college players

Jake Butt shifted gears from one controversial topic to another following the Wolverines’ Pro Day on Friday. Discussing the talk of players sitting out bowl games, and how he is now the example of why a player might take that path after tearing his ACL against Florida State, the former Michigan tight end took that opportunity to tackle the issue of the financial stress placed on college football players.

Report: Kingston Davis looking at transfer options

One of three running backs to sign in Michigan’s 2016 recruiting class, Kingston Davis got an early start last year, enrolling in January and participating to a limited extent through injuries during the spring. During the fall though, Davis carried the ball only twice while seeing fellow freshman Chris Evans make a big impact. It now appears that Davis will move on from Ann Arbor, seeking opportunities to play elsewhere.

U-M falls short in closing seconds to exit tournament

Derrick Walton Jr. continued his sensational run from the second half of the season, once again taking the team on his shoulder in the Wolverines’ Sweet 16 appearance against Oregon on Thursday evening. The senior guard's heroics came up just a bit shy though in the closing seconds with a would-be game winner from three point range hitting the front of the rim, sending the Maize and Blue home with a 69-68 loss.
