Offense struggles to finish as Michigan drops Air Force

Redshirt freshman kicker Quinn Nordin continues to be a bright spot for the Wolverines, tying a program record with five field goal in Michigan’s 29-13 victory over Air Force on Saturday. But while he has put tensions at ease on an unknown area coming into the season, the need to use him so much has raised a new set of concerns.

Heading into Michigan’s matchup with Air Force, the Wolverines’ defense is getting a lot of attention for its ability to hold up against a unique rushing attack. It’s the offense though that has gone through the most growing pains in the first two games, and coordinator Tim Drevno discussed the challenge his side of the ball will face in the game, specifically addressing the progress of the line.

Donovan Jeter out for season, other injury notes

It’s unclear how significant a role Donovan Jeter would have played this year given Michigan’s depth up front, but it’s now known that the true freshman will redshirt as a result of an injury suffered in practice. Head coach Jim Harbaugh revealed the news at his Monday press conference, but did not provide specifics on the type of injury.
