Decision expected Thursday for Stribling


Among the top performers at the Michigan summer camp this week, Matthews (N.C.) Butler defensive back Channing Stribling has competed very well with all wide receivers on hand and learned today that the Wolverines were offering a scholarship.

Tuley-Tillman makes strides at SMSB, video included


Among the Michigan contingent of six commitments participating at the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp last week, Peoria (Ill.) Manuel offensive lineman Logan Tuley-Tillman felt he had something to prove after a subpar showing at a recent Nike Camp. Having dropped some weight since the camp that hurt him in the recruiting rankings, the young lineman noted that he had a good showing.

Rising junior Damon Webb offered by Michigan

Among the top performers at the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp on Wednesday, rising junior prospect Damon Webb received a scholarship offer from Michigan today, his father Damon Sr. confirmed. A product of Detroit Cass Tech, which has two 2013 players committed and two 2012 signed with the Wolverines, Damon Jr. noted yesterday that the chance to join college teammates would help the Maize and Blue’s odds if offered.

Former U-M great Bob Chappuis passes away

Former Michigan All-American and Heisman Trophy runner up Bob Chappuis passed away yesterday at the age of 89. Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1988, he was the Wolverines MVP of the 1948 Rose Bowl victory over Southern Cal. To see the comlete story from, click here.

The troubles with traditions

There is nothing that says creating a new tradition means an existing tradition has to be destroyed. In fact, new traditions are created all the time. And often, those new traditions are started without people even noticing. It is only over time to fans become aware of a consistent practice or method of doing things that is unique to their school.
