Toussaint looking forward to first action against Irish

In his three years at Michigan, redshirt junior Fitzgerald Toussaint has had the pleasure of seeing the Wolverines knock off Notre Dame in a trio of exciting come from behind victories. But for the running back, one thing has been missing from those games. Himself. Redshirting due to injury as a freshman, he did not see action in South Bend in 2010 and was held out last season with a shoulder injury.

While he has had the benefit of seeing the Wolverines claim tight victories in each of the last three meetings, the team captain remains excited to face off against one of the Maize and Blue’s traditional rivals.

Floyd and defense anxious to cause turnovers

Senior cornerback J.T. Floyd and the Michigan defense would really like to get the team’s first interception this week against Notre Dame. It's something that has eluded the Wolverines all season. While he came close on a deep pass against the Minutemen, the veteran defensive back is not hanging his head.

True freshmen review – UMass

While head coach Brady Hoke had not closed the door completely on playing more freshmen than those who had already seen the field, the UMass game was telling, given that the blowout victory allowed virtually everyone to see the field. With the same 12 playing as had previously seen action, it is likely that barring injuries, Michigan has decided on its group of rookie contributors. Here’s our review....

Hoke discloses injury status, talks Irish

When two rivals like Michigan and Notre Dame meet, there is usually a breath of familiarity between the two. You could look back at previous years and get a sense of what both teams are bringing to the table and what is expected. This year's game appears to be a little bit different, at least in Michigan head coach Brady Hoke's mind.
