Michigan receives slight bump in national polls

The Wolverines headed into its second game of the season ranked at No. 19 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches' Polls, having dropped out of the top 10 with a loss. After a somewhat shaky defensive performance against Air Force, several schools jumped ahead of Michigan, but the Maize and Blue still managed to make slight positive moves. See how the Wolverines stacked up in both polls.

Game Day Rewind: Michigan 31 Air Force 25

On one side of the ball it was the Denard Robinson show.  On the other side of the ball it was a nightmare. Following the game, Michigan head coach Brady Hoke said, “The option gives you some nightmares.”  He spoke from experience as the Falcon offense held the ball for more than 35 minutes and was able to sustain drives resulting in five scoring opportunities in the game.
