It’s been a tense few days for fans of Michigan basketball as news surfaced that John Beilein was flirting with other opportunities, going so far as to interview with the Detroit Pistons. On Wednesday afternoon though, the head coach announced on Twitter that he will be staying in Ann Arbor.

It was a good day for John Beilein and the Michigan basketball program, first getting news that Charles Matthews would return for another season, then taking significant steps to build for the future. The Wolverines landed their first pledge of the 2019 class, with Jalen Wilson of Denton (Texas) Guyer announcing his decision in a video on Twitter.

Michigan to face Villanova in rematch of title game
