Wolverines scrap past Montana to advance

The Wolverines entered the NCAA Tournament coming off an 11-day layoff and drawing a late start in the West Region. It showed. Michigan went scoreless through the first four minutes of their meeting with Montana, spotting the Grizzlies a 10-point edge early. Eventually catching on, the Maize and Blue pulled ahead in the first half and held on to win 61-47 in an ugly offensive game.

The Wolverines went into the Big Ten Tournament and as virtual lock to continue on in the NCAA Tournament, guaranteeing their selected by winning it all. Finding out their seeding and matchup in a Selection Sunday viewing party, head coach John Beilein and players gave their take on being selected as a 3-seed and playing Montana.

Livers good to go coming off title game injury

Michigan had to finish its successful run to a Big Ten Tournament Title a man short against Purdue, playing without true freshman forward Isaiah Livers, who injured his ankle midway through the first half. Still waiting to find out who they will play in the NCAA Tournament, the Wolverines have already return to full strength.
