Neither Michigan nor Texas got off to a hot start offensively on Tuesday evening, but the Wolverines found their shot sooner, pulling ahead by double digits in the first half and holding off the second half rally efforts of the home team, winning 59-52.

Shea Patterson is transferring to Michigan. The brief but highly publicized recruitment of the Ole Miss quarterback came to a quick end Monday afternoon with the 6-2, 203 sophomore announcing his plan to switch schools on Twitter.

Report: Safeties coach Brian Smith taking DC job at Rice

Since Jim Harbaugh’s arrival at Michigan almost three years ago, there has been regular turnover on the Wolverines’ staff as assistant coaches have pursued other opportunities. According to ESPN.com’s Ivan Maisel, safeties coach Brian Smith will the latest to head elsewhere, taking over the defensive coordinator duties at Rice.

Wolverines mount comeback, defeat UCLA in overtime

The Wolverines have had a tough few days trying to come back from a difficult loss at Ohio State, and for a time on Saturday afternoon, it looked like they were headed down again. Trailing by 15 points in the second half though, Michigan battled back, sending the game into overtime and winning 78-69.
