Nate Johnson dismissed from football team

It didn’t take long for Nate Johnson to go from suspended indefinitely to completely off the team. The sophomore defensive back was arrested on Saturday morning for an alleged attack on a female student, for which he was later charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.

Jim Harbaugh said last Monday that if Michigan had a game to play that Wilton Speight would be forced to sit after suffering an injury at Purdue. Heading into the contest with in-state rival Michigan State, he confirmed that his veteran starter will be out for an extended period of time, announcing his replacement starter.

In just over a week’s time, the Wolverines have added a commitment from one big man while seeing another depart, and on Monday evening, they picked up a pledge from shooting guard Adrien Nunez of Oakdale (Conn.)
