Michigan announced new pricing for student tickets

Athletic Director Dave Brandon hasn’t been a popular man among Michigan students of late, with protests and petitions for his removal in the week following the Wolverines’ loss to Minnesota. But the conflict started much earlier than that, with the football pricing increases for students being one of the constant grinding points in recent years.

Former Wolverine York draws seven day sentence

Former Michigan wide receiver Csont’e York was suspended from the team at the start of fall camp, and was then ultimately dismissed from the program a couple weeks later. Looking to rebuild, York has enrolled at the University of Toledo, but he will still have to pay his debt to society.

Previewing the Michigan State Spartans

The annual battle for the Paul Bunyan Trophy will return to East Lansing for the third time in four years on Saturday, where the Wolverines hope to knock off the 6-1 Spartans. Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio lost in his first game against Michigan in 2007, but has strung together an impressive 5-1 record against the Maize and Blue since that time.

Big Ten week nine predictions and CFB viewing guide

With every team in the Big Ten having two bye weeks this year, it’s been a rarity that every program in the conference has been in action on the same weekend. In fact, it has only happened twice so far, on the opening week and at the end of September. This weekend will see just five Big Ten games, with Purdue, Indiana, Iowa and Northwestern each having the chance to rest and recover.
