Video: Michigan coordinators talk football

The actual game of football and season left to play have fallen into the backdrop the last few day as the result of the poor handling of Shane Morris' concussion during the Minnesota contest and the nearly as poor handling of the aftermath. Defensive coordinator Greg Mattison and offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier weren't shielded from those questions either on Monday, but both got a chance to discuss the team and upcoming matchup with Rutgers.

Hoke quotes and Big Ten coaches talk injury procedures

Following athletic director Dave Brandon’s released statement, Michigan head coach Brady Hoke had little that he wanted to add to the discussion in his weekly teleconference, but discussed some matters related to the topic. Several other Big Ten coaches discussed their process for dealing with similar matters, and Minnesota’s Jerry Kill discussed the late hit that concussed Shane Morris.

It took more than two days from the conclusion of the game against Minnesota, and a lot of denials in between, but the Michigan athletic department finally stepped forward to admit its poor handling of the injury to sophomore quarterback Shane Morris.
