Dierdorf joins Brandstatter on radio broadcast team

Since long-time play-by-play man Frank Beckmann announced his retirement last year, fans of the Maize and Blue have wondered who would call games over the radio in the fall. On Thursday afternoon, the University of Michigan announced that one its all-time great alumni Dan Dierdorf would join the broadcast team.

Spring practice video rewind

The Wolverines wrapped up spring practice last week inside Michigan Stadium, holding an open session and scrimmage for fans to watch. It will be the last time that the Maize and Blue take to the field for another four and half months, with the season opener against Appalachian State set for Aug. 30. Video: Braden reflects on spring progress

Redshirt sophomore Ben Braden left spring ball a year ago as the top candidate to claim the left guard spot, but ultimately moved back to right tackle where he feels more comfortable. With the offensive line the focus of many concerns given last year's struggles and the loss of both tackles, Braden knows there is a lot of pressure on the group. Morris pleased with progress in new offense

Quarterback Shane Morris is still in his first full year of college and already in the process of learning his second offense. With the introduction of new coordinator Doug Nussmeier, the responsibilities of the position have changed, forcing signal callers to juggle a lot more information than they had in the past.
