The Wolverines will play host to Nebraska on Tuesday evening, but they may have to do it at less than 100%. Looking to bounce back from the recent overtime loss to Wisconsin, Michigan is once again battling health concern going into a tough contest. Head coach John Beilein discussed that and other matters on Monday afternoon in looking ahead to the upcoming battle with the Cornhuskers.

The Wolverines managed to take No. 6 Wisconsin into overtime on Saturday evening, but weren't able to come up with the win, ultimately falling 69-64. Wolverines battle with Badgers, but fall in overtime

It may have been a surprise to some that ESPN GameDay came to Ann Arbor given the struggles that the Wolverines have gone through this season, but Michigan didn’t let down in facing No. 6 Wisconsin. The Badgers led for nearly the entire contest, but Michigan refused to go away, battling back from as many as 11 points down, sending the game into overtime before falling 69-64.

Despite a rough finish to non-conference play, Michigan hasn’t done poorly in the Big Ten, starting off at 5-2. The schedule gets much tougher going forward though, beginning with a 7 p.m. home game against No. 6 Wisconsin on Saturday. The matchup has drawn the ESPN GameDay crew to Ann Arbor, and on Friday afternoon, Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams talked about the Wolverines and the upcoming contest.

Wolverines getting healthy, Beilein previews Wisconsin

Just a few days ago, the Wolverines were struggling to get through practice with several players limited or out with either injuries or illness. Former player David Merritt had to come in to help provide a look from the scout team, as well as team managers and assistant coach LaVall Jordan. Michigan won’t get Caris LeVert back this season, but the team is better shape heading into this Saturday’s meeting with Wisconsin.
