SEC looking to block Michigan spring practice plans

Round two of the Southeastern Conference versus Jim Harbaugh is underway. Or maybe it’s round three or four, depending on your perspective of the various battles and jockeying that go on among the coaches and conference hierarchies of college football. But if the SEC’s opposition Harbaugh’s satellite camps last summer was the first highly publicized effort to keep Michigan out of the south, the second stab at that is just getting started.

Hoops notebook going into rivalry game with Spartans

Caris LeVert suffered a lower leg injury in the Wolverines’ Big Ten opener against Illinois, and now past the halfway point in conference play, he still hasn’t come back. Michigan faces not only a big test on Saturday afternoon, but also a big rivals, hosting Michigan State at 2 p.m. eastern. But despite the magnitude of the contest, the status of the team’s star play remains uncertain.

Post-game: Wolverines outmatched vs. MSU

Michigan’s pattern of struggling against the better teams on the schedule continued on Saturday afternoon, this time falling 89-73 in a lopsided loss to Michigan State. Unlike some other defeats this season, this one happened right out of the gate with the Spartans going up by double digits in just the first seven minutes of play.

Bush making easy adjustment to life at Michigan

January might not be the ideal time for a native of Pembroke Pines, Fla. to move to Ann Arbor, but for new true freshman Devin Bush Jr., getting the early start was an obvious choice to make. While the abrupt move from high school to college can be taxing, the young linebacker has quickly taken to the new lifestyle.
