Satellite camp ban lifted by NCAA

Earlier this month, the NCAA’s Division I Council voted to ban high school satellite camps and further placed the restriction that assistant coaches could only work camps on-campus or at regularly used off-campus facilities. It’s the NCAA Board of Directors though that has final say, and reports are surfacing that they will overturn that initial ruling.

Jim Harbaugh isn’t the only one that isn’t happy about the NCAA ruling over satellite camps, with college players and current recruits openly criticizing the decision. Among those taking up the cause has been Michigan senior tight end Jake Butt, who spoke in the Big Ten teleconference this week about that issue, as well as the Wolverines’ progress through spring practice.
